Hi, I am Nina Dours
A psychology feminist researcher focused on diverse intimate relationships and LGBTQ+ experiences.
About me
Educational Background
I graduated in 2021 from Chapman University with a B.A in psychology and a B.F.A in screenwriting where I investigated diverse relationships at the ONWARD Lab with Dr. Amy Moors. From there, I pursued a Master’s degree in Applied Social Psychology at Claremont Graduate University where I continued to build my toolset of research and analytics skills.
Current Research
I am a first-year PhD student in the Applied Social and Cultural Psychology program at Florida International University. Specifically, I work with Dr. Asia Eaton at the Power, Women, and Relationships (PWR) lab. I seek to utilize a feminist research lens to understand the influence of gender and sexuality within intimate relationships. I am currently collecting data for my Master’s thesis, in which I investigate the impact of gende roles and labor division on relationship satisfaction among heterosexual and sexual minority women.
